Feast 173:
Appetizer
Name 2 things you would like to accomplish in 2008.
- I am going to utilize my public library more often.
- I will obtain a new job.
Soup
With which cartoon character do you share personality traits?
Stan Marsh, from South Park. Because, you know, I learned something today.
Salad
What time of day (or night) were you born?
I was born at around 8:30 in the morning.
Main Course
Tell us something special about your hometown.
Um, we have a special rock.
Dessert
If you could receive a letter from anyone in the world, who would you want to get one from?
I would LOVE to get a letter from Ed McMahon saying I had won the Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes.

I have to work on December 24th.
Don’t feel bad. It’s only for a few hours so that I can work on payroll. That’s the thing about employees. You pay ‘em once, and darn it…they keep wanting to get paid!
I will get January 2nd off instead, so it’s all good.
I’ll be the only “office person” working on Monday. However, there will be plenty of folks working at Green Nonprofit. I’m probably gonna make some cookies tomorrow to bring in for Christmas Eve. I found a recipe for choco-peanut butter cookies. I think I might make another kind too. I’m sure I’ll get inspired in the baking aisle at the grocery store tomorrow.
I like making cookies. My home has a fabulous gas stove/ oven that bakes beautifully. There’s nothing worse than overdone cookies!

My dog is still eating her own poop. We have been using the home remedy of giving her canned pumpkin pie mix mixed in with her food.
It makes her gassy.
So now we have cinna-farts and poop eating puppy. You know you wanna come visit!

In honor of Zoot, the Queen of the Bulleted Post:
- After a very long hiatus, my knitting mojo has returned. I started a (drum roll) scarf. Hey! Baby steps!
- We have a very dirty secret here at Chez Mitten. The canine member of the family has become (gasp) a poop eater. Home remedies have been applied. Hopefully, this will end soon.
- Ornaments are finally on the tree. Bought a cute tree skirt, too.
- Presents? Purchased, but unwrapped. Darned good thing I got the tree skirt, otherwise under-the-tree would look sad.
- I have not set foot in a mall for any of my holiday shopping. In fact, I haven’t been in the local mall since, uh, May? Maybe?
- We had a lot of snow this weekend. 8-ish inches fell around here. It was really not that bad. These things are always better on the weekend, when fewer folks are stressed out about getting to work/ school etc.

But it made me feel better that I had it.
I’m not entirely sure that’s healthy.

…when you have a meeting with your Boss, and you have a resignation letter prepared “just in case.”

Feast 171:
Appetizer
What was the last game you purchased?
Gosh. Uh. Maybe something last Christmas? Maybe?
Soup
Name something in which you don’t believe.
I don’t believe that crop circles are made by aliens, though a teensy part of me does wonder….
Salad
If you could choose a celebrity to be your boss, who would you pick?
Matthew McConaughey. He seems like a nice guy, and he’s easy on the eyes. Plus, he’s a stoner and would probably be totally cool with giving me the afternoon off every once in awhile. I bet he’d let me bring my dog in the office all the time too.
Main Course
What was a lesson you had to learn the hard way?
Garbanzo beans that get left in the way back of the fridge smell really, really BAD after a few weeks.
Dessert
Describe your idea of the perfect relaxation room.
I’d want an ocean view. There’s nothing more relaxing than the sound and scent and sight of the water to me. Oh, and my puppy snoozing beside me. I guess I’d like the typical girlie stuff: a soft bed or chaise, maybe a whirlpool bathtub, a fireplace. I wouldn’t want any human company until I had time to enjoy the place (selfishly!) on my own for a little while.

I’ve been trying to stay positive about my current job, but boy howdy, it’s been hard.
I feel like I don’t have enough time in the day to get everything done. I don’t feel like my opinions are appreciated, even by people who ask for them. It’s as if they are asking me out of politeness, but not because they really care about what I have to say. I also know that there’s a lot more that I could and should be doing, but just don’t have the time to get to. And, my motivation to do so I limited, due to the fact that I feel unappreciated.
I’m kinda hanging in there, but I’m getting a little despondent. I’m still job searching on the downlow, utilizing my network of peers as best as I can. It’s been hard though, job hunting when my office just moved right next door to my Boss. Yoiks!

Rabbit Bites, archived on You Tube.
I don’t have much to say about the above link. It’s fairly self-explanatory, bizarre, and entertaining. And NSFW, mostly.
